Questions, answered

Everything we get asked most often — from how long the meals keep to what it takes to manufacture under your own label.

For customers

Buying and eating Thalia

Are all Thalia products halal certified?

Yes. Every product we make is halal certified end to end — from ingredient sourcing through to the sealed pack. Our facility operates to MS 1500:2009, the Malaysian halal standard, and certification covers the whole production chain rather than just the final product.

How long do the meals keep?

Eighteen months from production, stored at -18°C or below. The date is printed on every pack. Once thawed, treat it like any cooked food: keep it refrigerated and eat it within 24 hours. Do not refreeze.

Do I need to defrost before heating?

No. Every dish goes straight from the freezer into the microwave, oven, air fryer or deep fryer. Defrosting first will change the timings and can make the texture watery. Our preparation guide has the full method for each appliance.

Are there any preservatives?

No added preservatives. The shelf life comes from flash-freezing at -18°C immediately after cooking, which locks in flavour and texture without anything artificial.

Do you have vegetarian options?

Yes — our Vege Lasagna is made with eggplant, spinach and vegetables. It is produced on shared lines, so it is suitable for vegetarians but we cannot describe it as free from cross-contact with meat.

Where can I buy Thalia products?

Online through our Shopee store and Lazada, and in-store at AEON, MYDIN, Village Grocer, Jaya Grocer, The Food Merchant, FamilyMart, bilabila Mart and emart24. See where to buy for the full list.

For businesses

Wholesale, food service and OEM

What is the minimum order for a wholesale account?

It depends on the format and whether you are taking existing lines or a private-label product. Retail-ready cartons are 24 units; food-service and OEM runs are quoted per project. Tell us your volumes on the partner enquiry form and we will come back with specifics.

Can you manufacture under our own brand?

Yes. OEM and private-label contract manufacturing is a core part of what we do. We develop recipes to your brief, run pilot batches for approval, then produce and pack under your branding — halal certified throughout.

How long does it take to develop a new product?

Typically six to twelve weeks from brief to first production run, depending on how much recipe development is needed and how quickly sample approvals come back. Existing lines under your own label are considerably faster.

Do you export?

Yes, since 2020. We currently supply regional markets and can advise on documentation and halal certification recognition for your destination market.

What certifications do you hold?

JAKIM halal certification, MS 1500:2009, and HACCP food safety management. Full documentation is available to partners under NDA — ask for it during the spec stage.

Can we visit the facility?

Yes, for serious enquiries. Visits are arranged by appointment so we can take you through the line properly rather than fitting you around a production run. Contact the partnerships team to arrange one.
